definitely the better book. Whilst it does assume some background
knowledge of networking (e.g. subnetting, TCP/UDP port numbers, etc.),
everything it covers is clearly explained with examples. As it's meant
as an introduction to RouterOS, the coverage of some topics is quite
shallow & there'll be plenty of follow up reading required if you're
going to be working with live equipment.

-extremely well-written and understandable
-Diagrams!
-Pictures!
-Doesn't feel like a rewording of the Mikrotik online manual
Cons:
-Didn't quite go into the detail I wanted about a certain topic, but that's just me.
-Wish certain things were more fine-grained with examples of WHY we are to do it this way
-Actual configuration examples and step-by-step setups
-extremely well-written and understandable
-Diagrams!
-Pictures!
-Doesn't feel like a rewording of the Mikrotik online manual
Cons:
-Didn't quite go into the detail I wanted about a certain topic, but that's just me.
-Wish certain things were more fine-grained with examples of WHY we are to do it this way
